Benjamin Büchel (born July 4, 1989) is a Liechtenstein international footballer, who currently plays for English Championship club Burton Albion and the Liechtenstein national team. Büchel played for FC Ruggell, FC Widnau and USV Eschen/Mauren prior to joining English side AFC Bournemouth in 2012. Büchel spent three seasons with Bournemouth though never played for the team and spent loan spells at English non-league teams Dorchester Town, Poole Town, Havant & Waterlooville and Welling United.
Following the 2014–15 season Büchel was released by Bournemouth and was signed by Burton Albion, originally brought in as a back up to Jon McLaughlin but Büchel started to impress when given first team opportunities. Büchel took over from McLaughlin as first choice goalkeeper for Burton and would become notable for saving penalties moreso in the 2016–17 season where he saved 12 penalties from 17 faced.
